After spending most of the day doing various chores, I was expecting to stay home tonight. Out of the blue, Edith decided instead to go have a picnic at Spy pond, for old times sake. Spy pond is a local pond located in the town where we live. This is one of the very first venues I fished for carp, and I caught several PBs out there while my PBs were still in the teens. We used to go have fishing picnics out there, but didn't do it in years. We quickly put rods & food in the car, and we were on our way, Edith, my younger son Felix and myself.
